The crew of the USS Fitzgerald failed to take action in time to avoid a collision with a container ship that killed seven sailors, including two from San Diego County, according to multiple reports Friday. The findings up to this point will be sent to 7th Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Joseph Aucoin for review. There are several investigations into the incident, including two internal Navy hearings and a probe by the United States Coast Guard. (more...)

No senator should support a bill containing the Cruz amendment without hearing from the CBO on its likely effects. On Wednesday, Two Indian army soldiers were killed and six people, including three civilians injured after Pakistan troops hit villages with mortar fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir . Warmbier travelled to North Korea with Young Pioneer tours , one of the agencies warned of the ban. The travel ban will be enforced within 30 days of July 27, according to both companies. He was sentenced to 15 years of hard labour. That bill took on a greater urgency, following the release and subsequent death of Warmbier .
