It's the latest in a series of quakes following the magnitude 5.8 natural disaster that hit near Lincoln on July 6. The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude 3.0 temblor hit outside of Lincoln on Tuesday morning. According to the Geoscience Australia, the quake was located off the west coast of the South Island, 49.12 degrees South and 164.50 degrees East.
