Amazon buying Whole Foods, making strong move into groceries

Walmart , which has the largest share of the US food market, has been working on lowering prices, while Target has been struggling to turn around its grocery business. It's also been testing automation technology at a Seattle convenience store that's now open only to Amazon employees. Investors gave Altice USA a warm - although not exuberant - welcome this morning exactly one year after it became the nation's No. 4 cable operator with its acquisition of Cablevision . The U.S. subsidiary of European telecommunications company Altice NV, formed through the merger of New York-based Cablevision Systems Corp . and Suddenlink Communications , is expected to start trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday.
