The officers who shot Lyles were both armed with less lethal types of weapons, meaning a different outcome not involving her death could surely have transpired. After a few minutes, police are suddenly heard yelling "Get back, get back, get back". The officers could be heard in the audio shouting " We need help " and "Get back!" Lyles' cousin, Kenny Isabell, pastor of The Way of Holiness Church of God in Seattle , described Lyles as depressed but not violent. (more...)

The broad-based S&P 500 jumped 20.31 points (0.83 per cent) to 2,453.46, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index gained 87.25 points (1.42 per cent) to 6,239.01. The New York benchmark was down 2.3 percent at $43.43 a barrel while Brent crude, the global standard in London, fell 2.5 percent to $45.73. In its report released on Tuesday, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries said Iran produced 3.795 million bpd of oil in May, an increase of 4,000 bpd from 3.791 million bpd in April. After a calm conversation with her about missing items, officers suddenly yell "Get back!" and a few seconds later shots are heard. "Get back!" before gunfire is heard. One of the officers who shot Lyles had been certified as a crisis intervention specialist. Officer 2: Has she got a mental caution on her? Neither are a direct threat to South Florida, but the fact the normally quiet June could see two tropical storms is highly unusual for the Atlantic hurricane season, forecasters say. That storm, located about 20 miles (35 km) east-northeast of Isla Margarita and packing maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour (75 km/h) at present, is moving west-northwest and will continue to proceed across the southeastern Caribbean Sea, the forecaster said.
