Michael Cohen reportedly offered Qatar access to Trump for $1 million

President Trump's Former Lawyer Michael Cohen's Business Dealings Continue To Draw Federal Scrutiny

A law enforcement official is responsible for leaking Trump attorney Michael Cohen's financial information.

How Trump dealt with the Daniels hush money in his disclosure has been closely watched, particularly after Giuliani gave interviews earlier this month saying the president had reimbursed Cohen in a series of payments after the campaign was over.

Signed by Trump and released by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, the disclosure also drew comment from watchdog groups and a senior Democratic lawmaker about possible violations of campaign finance law, which requires public disclosure of expenses meant to influence the election.

But the ethics office concluded that "the information related to the payment made by Cohen is required to be reported and that the information provided meets the disclosure requirement for a reportable liability".

The reports about the payments to Cohen drew largely on a "suspicious activity report" or SAR, filed by First Republic Bank.

While the disclosure did not specify the goal of the payment, Cohen has said he paid $130,000 to Ms Daniels in the weeks before the 2016 presidential election to keep her from going public about her allegations that she had sex with the married Trump in 2006. He reportedly said the company was devoted to him "using his experience in real estate to consult on commercial and residential" deals and that the payments made to the account would be modest and within the United States.

It provides the first extended look at the performance of Trump's Washington hotel, which opened in September 2016 and has become a magnet for lobbyists and Republican aides.

The Mar-a-Lago resort, where the president frequently escaped for winter weekends, collected more than $25 million last year, down from $37 million from last year's report.

Donald Trump waves to the media on his way from the Oval Office to Marine One on May 15, 2018. About 36 after Giuliani first revealed that Trump reimbursed Cohen, the president distanced himself from his lawyer, telling reporters "he will get his facts straight" and "virtually everything that's been said has been said incorrectly". Trump and Giuliani have clashed over what the president knew and when he knew it.

Steve Bannon, Trump's former chief White House strategist, was also present at the meeting, the sources said.

Trump has denied the allegations of having any intimate relationship with the adult-film star, but recently acknowledged that he reimbursed Cohen for his payments.

The document, which covers calendar year 2017, showed total income from Trump's business operations and investments of at least $453 million and assets valued at a minimum of $1.4 billion.

Some of the 12-month figures for his properties are down from his previous report, but that earlier report covered about 16 months and so it is not directly comparable.

Mr. Trump listed liabilities of at least $250 million, with Deutsche Bank as his biggest creditor. A large share of that debt stems from Deutsche Bank loans to Trump National Doral. Mr. Trump is also still picking up a Screen Actors Guild pension of almost $65,000 from his years as a reality TV host and sometime bit player in movies. "He had donated something close to $100 million, what's another $100,000?"

The president reported royalties from his 1987 book Art of the Deal in the same $100,000-$1m range as he did a year ago - and sales for some of his lesser titles picked up.
