Childish Gambino dropped a new song, 'This Is America' on SNL

WATCH: Kanye West's Nonsense Gets Everyone Killed in SNL's A Quiet Place Parody

Gambino - aka Donald Glover - had himself a fantastic show, directing many of his sketches to Black American in-jokes and pop cultural references, from Migos to Oran "Juice" Jones' "In The Rain" monologue.

It's. weird, but brilliant.

While hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, Donald Glover dropped a new song and music video under his stage name Childish Gambino.

The song appeared online during his performance as host on United States sketch show Saturday Night Live.

"Saturday Night Live" paired Kanye's recent tweets and comments with the hit horror movie "A Quiet Place", creating a parody it called "The Kanye Place". Despite his tremendous success, Glover believes it's time to retire his music alter-ego. Gambino also seems to throw shade at other modern rappers in the business with their over-the-top style of dancing.

Glover will also be seen on the big screen as a young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opens on May 25.

As for Glover's musical career, Childish Gambino will be heading on a 19-date North American tour.

Glover is expected to release his new album, and very possibly his last, later this year. He also signed a deal with RCA Records in January.

"I know, Kanye was just on TMZ, and he said slavery was a choice", Glover's character said, once again breaking the silence and endangering the group. "I really can do anything".
