Comey book says John Kelly referred to Trump as "dishonorable"

Trump fires back at Comey on Twitter, calls him 'untruthful slime ball'

Comey sits down for an exclusive interview with ABC News' Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos airing Sunday.

"James Comey's publicity tour is a self-serving attempt to make money and rehabilitate his own image".

The website, lyincomey.com, targets Comey's credibility and includes quotes from senior Democratic party leaders maligning his character during the 2016 presidential election.

The RNC is also preparing to set up a "war room" to monitor media appearances and respond in real time, according to the RNC plan. "If Comey wants the spotlight back on him, we'll make sure the American people understand why he has no one but himself to blame for his complete lack of credibility".

CNN reported on Thursday that the White House has approved the website, whose domain name was registered 15 days ago.

Comey was sacked by Trump past year, with the administration saying it stemmed from his handling of the investigation into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's private email server, CNN reported. According to Axios, which has a preview of the interview, sources who were present at the taping say the special is "going to shock the president and his team".

The Beast writes that Kelly had meant to quit in protest over Comey's departure, but according to sources who have read the book, Comey writes that he urged Kelly to stay on, saying "this president" needs people of integrity inside the administration.

Comey, several concluded, orchestrated the leak in order to put pressure on the Justice Department to appoint a special counsel to investigate the president. Later, he asks Comey point blank whether or not Trump should be impeached.
