In his Legislative Council report, school board member William Brown informed his colleagues that there are no fewer than 26 bills pertaining to school safety now being discussed by state lawmakers in Harrisburg. With 14 retirements expected by the end of the school year, Robinson said, the district is hoping to save $540,000 in salaries.
