'GET READY RUSSIA': Trump WARNS PUTIN 'Smart Missiles' Heading Towards Syria

Putin, Netanyahu speak, discuss Syria

"Stop the arms race?"

The Russian head of state made the comments amid rising speculation that the United States was gearing up to orchestrate a military strike against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, under the pretext that he carried out a gas attack against its own people in the Syrian town of Douma, Eastern Ghouta, late on Saturday.

"Our relations with Russian Federation are now worse than ever, including the cold war", he wrote on Twitter.

Russia's Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, warned Tuesday evening in an interview on Hezbollah-linked Al-Manar TV that any usa missiles fired at Syria will be shot down and their launch sites targeted.

He warned that the Russian government should "get ready" for a missile attack against its ally. -Russian relations are at their lowest point ever, including the saber-rattling Cold War years of six decades ago.

He complained that the investigation is "headed up by. all Democrat loyalists, or people that worked for (former President Barack) Obama", although Mueller is a Republican and was appointed as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation by both Republican President George W. Bush and Obama. We support serious dialogue.

In response, Russia's foreign ministry said: "Smart missiles should fly towards terrorists, not towards the lawful government".

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, in a Facebook post Wednesday, wondered if the chemical weapons watchdog investigating the reports of the attack on Douma had been warned that U.S. missiles would destroy "all evidence" of the attack.

"We saw the Syrian children who were slaughtered with chemical weapons".

U.S. Navy guides missile cruiser USS Cape St. George (CG 71); the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75); fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198); the guided missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71); the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72); and the guided missile cruiser USS Normandy (CG 60) cruise in formation under way in the Gulf of Oman. The United States and Russian Federation back opposing sides in Syria's seven-year-long civil war.

"We are aware that the USA carrier battle group led by the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and escorting ships are heading to the Persian Gulf and are scheduled to arrive in about early May", he said. A USA navy guided-missile destroyer, the USS Donald Cook, is in the Mediterranean.

The Syrian government and its ally Russian Federation have denied that such an attack ever happened.

"We're rapidly reaching an understanding of what happened on the ground", she told reporters. "We'll be working with our closest allies to consider how we can ensure that those responsible are held to account, and also how we can prevent and deter the humanitarian catastrophe of the use of chemical weapons in the future".
