Bayern win record-extending 6th straight Bundesliga title
Bayern have won the Bundesliga title a total of 28 times.
Jupp Heynckes' men were still not done with the scoring as Sandro Wagner nodded home Sebastian Rudy's corner kick to round off the 4-1 comeback victory in the dying minutes of the game.
Fresh from wrapping up the Bundesliga title at the weekend, James Rodriguez and Bayern Munich will look to finish the job against Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday (kick-off: 08:45 PM CEST/ 06:45 PM GMT/ 02:45 PM EST).
Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has sent his thanks to predecessor Carlo Ancelotti for his "involvement" this season after the Bavarian club sealed the Bundesliga title with a 4-1 win at Augsburg.
Bayern's Bavarian neighbours Augsburg, though, were out to spoil the party and took an early lead through a freakish own-goal from defender Niklas Sule after 18 minutes.
Heynckes will also be hoping to secure an incredible treble this season with the club still competing in both domestic competitions as well as on the European stage.
Jerome Boateng lingered over a back pass and Colombian forward Sergio Cordova robbed him of possession, sending Boateng tumbling to the turf, clutching his hamstring. Goalkeeper Seven Ulreich made a parry but Niklas Suele deflected the rebound into the wrong goal with 18 minutes played. Bayern equalised out of the blue when Tolisso was left unmarked to head in from Joshua Kimmich's cross in the 32nd minute and the Bavarians took the game by the scruff of the neck.
Ribery celebrated his 35th birthday with a cameo appearance for the final eight minutes before Wagner headed in Bayern's fourth. Jonas Hector gave Cologne an early lead but Pablo de Blasis levelled five minutes into the second half, leaving the Billy Goats six points adrift of safety in 17th place.
Heynckes, who is due to retire at the end of the season, replaced Ancelotti last October with the club trailing rivals Borussia Dortmund by five points. Elsewhere, Bruno Labbadia claimed his first win since taking over at VfL Wolfsburg when they beat Freiburg 2-0 away with two goals from Daniel Didavi.
Thorgan Hazard came off the bench to score twice as Borussia Moenchengladbach climbed to eighth with a 2-1 win at home to Hertha Berlin.
