The latest update to hit Fortnite: Battle Royale adds a host of exciting new objects, with Vending Machines now joining the likes of Ammo Boxes and Loot Llamas as interactive means to enhance your competitive edge. As expected, there's at least one vending machine in almost every named location on the map. The vending machine will display one at a time and slowly rotate through them.

As part of Fortnite's Week 7 challenges, players are tasked with mooching about and trying to get these potted pals to appear.

And Week 7 Fortnite Treasure Map challenges have now been revealed.

Each material type-wood, stone, and metal-will have a corresponding item that it can be exchanged for. The vending machines will dispense weapons randomly, not just in terms of what weapon it is, but what rarity it is, so there's a chance of you getting a really good weapon with the press of a button. "There is no purchase limit to the items available".

Common items start at 100 materials, for example, while legendary items will set players back 500.

Fortnite version 3.4 dropped last week, bringing some new content and a number of big fixes with it, but today, Epic Games is tossing more into the mix.

Items found in a Uncommon (green) version will cost 200 materials. The update also introduces Limited-Time Mode, another High Explosives mode, weapon balances, which may also include a "first shot accuracy" ability.

Taking to the official forums, Epic Games announced that the update will land for all platforms, and won't actually require any title updating, so you won't have to have any gaming downtime.
