Trump 'admits' Russian Federation election meddling

Intel chief: Reprisals for Russia days away

During a joint press conference with the Swedish prime minister, President Donald Trump again dismissed the idea that Russian Federation swayed the outcome of the 2016 US presidential election.

Trump's proposal has raised alarm about a potential trade war that could negatively impact American industry and jobs.

Trump again said he believes Russian Federation interfered in the 2016 race, but he again said other countries or individuals also could have tried to interfere.

It was Trump's most forceful attempt to date at dissuading Russian Federation from continuing its election interference efforts, though he again suggested that other countries may have been involved and continued to insist the final results were not affected by Moscow.

As to whether he is anxious about Russian interference in the 2018 elections, "No", said Trump.

"We'll do it in a very loving way, a loving, loving way, they'll like us better and they'll respect us much more", Trump said.

"We'll counteract whatever they do".

Questioned about why no new sanctions have been issued, National Intelligence Director Dan Coats said Tuesday that they were forthcoming.

Congress and the White House have been at odds over the presidential administration's refusal so far to implement additional sanctions against Russian officials and entities.

Trump said "there will be people - I'm not going to be specific - that change", but that he wouldn't have any trouble replacing staffers. You don't want your system of votes to be compromised in any way. Not highly complex computers. "I like watching it, I like seeing it".

Just a couple of hours later, news broke that Gary Cohn, one of Trump's top economic advisers, is leaving the administration, after apparently losing an internal struggle over steel and aluminum tariffs.

"We must stop Iran, we will stop Iran", Netanyahu said.

The president went on to acknowledge that he encourages dissent among his staff in the course of his own decision-making process, saying "I like conflict".

Trump said over the weekend that attempts by the European Union to take reciprocal steps would prompt him to apply new tariffs on automobile imports. China, contrary to media reports, sends more than two per cent of the steel to the United States, he said.

The US and its worldwide partners remain determined to achieve the goal of a de-nuclearised Korean Peninsula, President Donald Trump said on Wednesday.

"I really believe they are honest".

Earlier in the day, North Korea and South Korea announced an apparent breakthrough in talks. "The European Union has been particularly tough on the United States". "No, because we'll counter act whatever they do".

"The WH has tremendous many people want to come in...everybody wants to be there, and they love this White House", @POTUS says, disputing known challenges administration has in recruiting new personnel for West Wing as exodus publicly chronicled.
