Fortnite building goes turbo in the next update

Fortnite's Season 3 Battle Pass is space-themed, has 100 tiers

Buying the Season 3 Battle Pass will automatically unlock the Mission Specialist Outfit as well as some other rewards, and the first 25 tiers, all at 40% discount.

Completing all 100 tiers will earn you 6 outfits, 3 pickaxes, 4 emotes, 3 gliders, 23 banners, and 21 emoticons. Each week a new set of seven challenges unlock, replacing the Season 2 Battle Pass daily challenges. Even with the added tiers, gamers should be able to complete the pass in about the same amount of time as it took to get through season two (typically between 75 and 150 hours).

Epic Games has also changed the way that players can build in Fortnite battle royale with the aim of making it a smoother process. Though the Battle Royale mode is free, all additional editions of the game, including their Super Deluxe and Limited Editions, are also half off! Season 3 of Save the World shall even witness a new score by music composer Marco Beltrami (Logan, The Hurt Locker, etc.).

Changes include the new Turbo Building option which lets players hold down the placement button which lets them continuously place down buildings. Previously, players could find themselves unable to build when an object was in their way, but now the piece will appear around or through the object.

"Auto Change Materials" will switch to another material when your current supply runs dry (this can be toggled in the Game options). Another "issue" is that players who hadn't purchased the Battle Pass were getting all of its content immediately.

But also, there's going to be a big new event for Fortnite Save the World players. Epic's upcoming building improvements seem meant to pick up the pace of construction in order to keep the flow of combat moving. The patch notes which can be read in full here basically seem to want to improve the building mechanics within the game and that in itself is no bad news and actually builds on one of the major strengths of the game. I'm feeling like it's about time to once again struggle to get into the top fifteen in Battle Royale mode.
