Bengals coach Lewis plans to leave after season

Vikings playoff scenarios: How the Vikings could win the No. 1 seed -- or lose the No. 2 seed

Lewis became the Bengals' ninth head coach on January 14, 2003, and the team finished that season 8-8 - a six-game improvement over the prior year.

Kicking the game off with a report that head coach Marvin Lewis isn't coming back for a 16 season, his offense went almost on track for its worst performance in his 15 seasons when the Bengals fell behind the Vikings, 24-0, in the game's first 25 minutes generating all of 35 yards, a first down, three sacks and five three-and-outs on seven possessions for that very ugly 24-0 half-time deficit.

The Vikings clinched the NFC North title on Sunday. They drove 75 yards in nine plays on the opening drive, which was capped by Murray's 1-yard touchdown run.

The Bengals (5-9) have now lost three straight games and will have a second straight losing season. Minnesota held Cincinnati to 42 net yards in the first half, the fewest for a Vikings opponent since 2010. Case Keenum completed 20 of his 23 passes and threw a pair of touchdowns before giving way to Teddy Bridgewater, who played for the first time since returning from the left knee injury he suffered on August 30, 2016.

Keenum was 20-of-23 passing before giving way to Teddy Bridgewater for the team's first drive of the fourth quarter. As the U.S. Bank Stadium crowd reached full volume, Case Keenum watched on the sideline with a wide smile, exhorting fans to get even louder. Bridgewater was 0 of 2, with an interception that went off running back Jerick McKinnon's hands. The No. 4 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, Green has caught at least one touchdown pass in 51 games and has had six games with two scores.

The Vikings have averaged 132.2 rushing yards per game and allowed an average of 60.7 rushing yards per game this season.
