LaVar Ball Removes LiAngelo from UCLA

LaVar and Li Angelo Ball on

LaVar Ball pulled his son, LiAngelo, out of UCLA weeks after the Bruins basketball player and two of his teammates were arrested in China for stealing a pair of sunglasses. As part of their indefinite suspensions, the players haven't been allowed to suit up, practice or travel with the Bruins.

"I told my boys that one of them wasn't going to make it".

"We are exploring other options with [LiAngelo Ball]", LaVar said.

"We get back over here and the consequences were even stiffer than China".

LaVar Ball is taking the reins on his suspended son's basketball future. He could perhaps polish his skills with personal coaches and then take a shot at National Basketball Association pre-draft combines in the summer, but he would still be a longshot to make an National Basketball Association roster.

Meanwhile the oldest Ball brother, Lonzo, 20, is struggling during his rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 8.7 points, on 31.3 percent shooting from the field, and seven assists per game. Although there are seemingly no hard feelings from the Ball family, they are no strangers to taking this course of action. "That's like telling the Clippers back in the day not to play JJ Redick", LaVar Ball said. ESPN shortly thereafter confirmed the story by talking with LaVar.

According to ESPN, Riley, Hill and LiAngelo Ball were subject to review for possible violations to UCLA's Student Conduct Code.

For LaVar Ball, the drama of arguing with the president and having his son leave U.C.L.A. - where his youngest son, LaMelo, is also committed to attend in 2019 - is nothing new.
