Micromax introduces Bharat 5 with massive 5000mAh battery; includes free 50GB data

Micromax-Bharat-5-1

The Micromax Bharat 5 is priced at Rs. 5,555. Bharat 5 sports a 5.2-inch HD IPS display, surrounded by usual bezels to accommodate capacitive navigation buttons below and front camera, proximity sensor and earpiece above. It says that the chipset has a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad core CPU from which we can deduce that the Micromax Bharat 5 has a MediaTek MTK6737 chipset which is found in plenty of other budget offerings.

The Bharat 5 packs a 5MP front and a 5MP rear cameras with flash.

The Moto C Plus also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with no LED flash. The Bharat 5 was launched in India at Rs 5,555 and delivers the typical entry-level smartphone specifications save for that massive 5,000 mAh battery. There are going to be two more models succeeding the Bharat 5 - namely Bharat 5 Plus and Bharat 5 Pro - that are going to be launched in the next 2 months.

Launched as entry-level 4G phones, more than the specs and features on offer, it will be with the pricing that will define the futures of the three phones.

On the optics front, the Nokia 2, as well as the Bharat 5, come with cameras that on paper at least fail to excite.

Battery: This time Nokia beats Xiaomi with its long lasting 4,100mAh battery as compared to Redmi 5A's 3,000mAh battery. The timing of this new product launch couldn't be more flawless as Bharat 5 is targeted towards the budget-conscious shoppers - same as Xiaomi's latest "Desh Ka Smartphone" Redmi 5A. The battery of the phone is 5000mAh and that is why the tagline of the Micromax Bharat 5 smartphone is "The Power of 5".

Xiaomi has launched Redmi 5A at a price starting from Rs 4,999 for 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB version. The phone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 operating system.

Vodafone customers can purchase any of the following new Micromax smartphones - Bharat 2 Plus, Bharat 3, Bharat 4and Canvas -1 and enjoy the cashback offers.
