Google data-saving tool aims to help manage smartphone bills

Google Discovers New Android Malware That Spies On Facebook WhatsApp Skype Users

So in this article, let me take you on a quick tour of the new app and discuss some easy techniques to save your mobile data. Datally is an initiative of Google's Next Billion Users division, which aims to make Internet services more accessible in developing countries with limited technology infrastructure. Mobile data is of paramount importance to many of us, thanks to the ever growing presence of 4G-enabled smartphones these days.

Google has launched a new app which can save the mobile data in your smartphone totally just by itself. Google's new Datally app allows users to track their data usage in real time and get personalised recommendations on how to save data.

What if you don't have an unlimited data plan like everyone's switching to?

By clicking on the Data Server option all the applications installed in the mobile phone will appear in which you are given an option to block it data usage.

Datally is available for free at the Google Play Store globally and works on all smart phones running android 5.0 or higher. "That's why we built Datally, an app that helps you to control, save more and do more with your data", Caesar Sengupta, Vice-President of Next Billion Users at Google.

The Android spyware can steal sensitive data from social media apps like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, LinkedIn, and Telegram. You'll also see which of your apps have used the most data, both recently and over the course of the past day. But as a tool to manage your bandwidth, Datally is a nice step up from the default data tracking feature in Android and whatever app your carrier may have come up with.

Accessing contacts, calendar events, call logs, photos, Wi-Fi encryption keys, and a list of all locally installed apps. But as for now one can't tell which app actually saves you more data.

Once you're connected to a network, don't forget to rate it to help others in the Datally community find great Wi-Fi.

Once you've installed Google Datally on your Android, simply start by accepting Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
