Ivanka Trump's dilemma: Trump reportedly blames Jared Kushner for the Mueller probe

Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser, has turned over documents to Russian Federation special counsel Robert Mueller, CNN reported Thursday.

Jared Kushner voluntarily handed over documents just days after former Donald Trump campaign advisors were indicted.

Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman wrote that Trump told former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon that he blamed Kushner "for his role in the decisions, specifically the firings of" Flynn and Comey.

Kushner, whose appointment as a top White House employee prompted criticism owing to his close ties with the Trump family, has been regarded as one of the most influential aides of the POTUS, in fact, he could be more influential than the POTUS himself.

In addition to inquiring about the Comey firing, Mr. Mueller is also reportedly interested in Mr. Kushner's role in crafting a statement about a July 2016 meeting in Trump Tower that he, Donald Trump Jr., and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort attended with a Russian lawyer.

Sam Nunberg, who works under Stone and briefly worked for Trump's campaign, then criticized Kushner on the record.

CNN said Kushner gave the documents at his own free will.

Former White House staff members-whether encamped at Breitbart News or anywhere else-are constrained by 18 USC 207, which governs "restrictions on former officers, employees, and elected officials of the executive and legislative branches".

The report comes just days after former foreign policy adviser to Trump's presidential campaign George Papadopoulos pleaded guilty to making false statements to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

When Roger Stone recently told Trump that Kushner was giving him bad political advice, Trump agreed, according to someone familiar with the conversation.

Earlier this week Mr. Mueller's probe was the center of attention when it charged Mr. Manafort and his longtime business partner Rick Gates - with conspiracy and money laundering. "I'm only saying publicly what everyone says behind the scenes at Fox News, in conservative media, and the Senate and Congress".

Mr Trump continued to dismiss the indictments as "fake news" after their release, and attempted to shift the focus to Hillary Clinton's dealings with Russian Federation.

The questions surrounding the investigation may also pursue the President on his most critical official trip thus far, as he gets ready to go to Asia.
