Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Release Date Announced For Early November

GeForce GTX 1070-ti

In its press release, NVIDIA mentioned that it designed the GTX 1070 Ti to be an "overclocking monster with plenty of headroom for gamers to crank up the clock speeds".

The GTX 1070 is over a year old now and Nvidia has announced a faster Ti version, rather than waiting until it launches the next-gen Volta cards. As we discussed earlier, the card is a beefed-up alternative to the GTX 1070 that ends up landing very close to GTX 1080. The card is the smallest GTX 1070 Ti model on the market right now and it can fit into 99% of all cases.

Whether or not this interim card is specifically to compete with AMD's recent Vega 56 is pure speculation, but here's the low-down on the new graphics card. The 1070 Ti also has a base clock speed of 1607MHz (improving on the 1070's base speed of 1506MHz), which can be boosted to 1683MHz (the same top speed as the 1070), and has 8GB GDDR5 of onboard memory (like the 1070). With a base price of Dollars 449 (about RM 1902) for the Founder's Edition card, NVIDIA manufacturing partners including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gainward, Galax, GIGABYTE, Inno3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and ZOTAC will be releasing their own take on GTX 1070 Ti at the same time. Nvidia's partners have built cards with thermals and power accessories that allow gamers to push performance way past stock specifications. Not to be left with a single price/power slot un-captured, NVIDIA's GTX 1070 Ti card uses NVIDIA's GP104 GPU just like the GTX 1080, but with a price that's slightly under that slightly more powerful card.

Quite a lot less than a GTX 1080. Following several weeks of bread crumbs teasing the card's launch, NVIDIA this morning made the new card official, and is even accepting pre-orders for it on the company's website. The Founder's Edition costs £419 ($449.99, 469 Euros).
