Shin Megami Tensei V is confirmed for the Nintendo Switch

Shin Megami Tensei V Announced as Switch Exclusive

Shin Megami Tensei 5 is finally coming, and Atlus' flagship role-playing game franchise is landing on the Nintendo Switch. However, through that trailer we know that Shin Megami Tensei 5 will be set in modern day Tokyo and there appears to be two characters who could be central to the story, a male and female student.

At the moment, nothing else has been shared, besides the fact that the game is for Nintendo Switch. The haunting soundtrack overlaying the bloody remains of those demons, the protagonists being swarmed and apparently eaten alive. Even though a new Shin Megami Tensei title can be found on all "most anticipated Nintendo Switch titles" we had nearly no idea as to what it will be. Check out the brief new trailer below. Despite having originally been teased back in January during the Nintendo Switch reveal presentation, we've heard hide nor hair of the Switch title, but now we've gotten our first glimpse at the upcoming game. There really wasn't any new thing revealed except that it would be a main numbered game. That should bode well for Shin Megami Tensei V's release hopes in the West, though no formal announcement has been made yet.
