Ghana petition Federation Internationale de Football Association after controversial draw with Uganda

Uganda takes on Ghana Tomorrow

Ghana's coach Kwesi Appiah introduction of two strikers Patrick Twumasi and Dwamena was not enough to fetch the desperate Stars the needed victory to keep their world cup dreams on hold.

Following Asamoah Gyan calling for a protest from the Black Stars, the Ghanian FA have filed a complaint to Federation Internationale de Football Association about the performance of South African referee Daniel Bennett.

Egypt need only one point from their final two games to reach the finals, and ensure Ghana miss out for the first time since 2002.

The Kayserispor forward sat out the away clash due to injury, but was left incensed after Raphael Dwamena's injury-time goal from a rebound was ruled out for offside.

Ghana, who reached the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, are now relying on results going their way if they are to book their ticket to Russian Federation.

On his Instagram page, a furious Asamoah Gyan wrote: "How on earth can this goal be disallowed".

"Mr Bennett and (his) assistants denied Ghana a flawless goal in the 93rd minute with television replays showing that it was a ideal goal". Frank Acheampong's appeal for a second-half penalty was also turned down.

The result leaves Ghana at third in the Group E with six points behind leaders Egypt and Uganda.

The Ghanaian FA confirmed their complaint submission via tweets on their verified Twitter handle.

The game ended 0-0 leaving Ghana in 3rd place in the group with 6 points against Uganda's 8 at 2nd position with Egypt leading the group with 12 points.
