Instagram Stories receives new 'interactive poll sticker' along with new creative tools

You Can Now Have Your Instagram Friends Make All Your Life Decisions For You

Instagram is officially getting a polling feature. Now just like adding a sticker, users can add a two-answer poll on top of their stories that friends can answer.

Put down the glitter.

The new "poll" stickers allow users to add two-option queries to their Stories. The app got an update Tuesday the details of which Instagram revealed in a blog post. Those who view your Story can then vote in the poll by tapping on one of the options. Friends will see the results as soon as they answer, and you will find out who voted for what in your Stories view count page.

The new features are to "help make your stories even more creative", said the post from Instagram. From there, you're able to write out whatever question best suits you, and choose the answers you want voters to be able to pick from.

Adding a poll sticker is as easy as adding any of the plethora of stickers that are available on Instagram. And, of course, everything disappears after 24 hours.

What's more, Instagram also introduced today a color picker tool similar to the eyedropper in Photoshop which lets users select a color from their images to use on text and brushes, as well as an alignment tool that makes it easier to see if stickers and text are properly centered. Along the bottom of the screen, to the left of the spectrum of colors you're used to seeing, you'll see a new eyedropper icon. And when you rotate text or a sticker, new guides will also help you snap your sticker back to horizontal.

To see your own poll results, swipe up to open the viewers list for that part of your story. Moving a sticker or bit of text now brings up blue lines meant to help center the elements.
