Marilyn Manson Suspends Tour Following Hammerstein Ballroom Stage Accident

Marilyn Manson Cancels Nine Shows After NYC Stage Injury

Of course, fans attending the NYC show caught the incident on camera, and have spread videos of the falling props and images of Manson being whizzed off to hospital shortly afterwards.

The band was in the middle of their hit cover of Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and Manson appeared to be shaking the metal bars on the stage prop when it fell on top of him.

After suffering two injuries in back-to-back concerts this weekend, Marilyn Manson has canceled nine upcoming shows of his Heaven Upside Down tour.

Manson was taken to a local hospital for treatment. It was after he tried to reach the gun props that the whole thing came tumbling down on him.

According to the magazine, Manson lay on the stage for several minutes, as workers yelled for ice to be brought out.

"Marilyn Manson is being forced to cancel several of his October dates on his forthcoming USA tour", Manson's spokesperson said in a statement.

The prop accident occurred a day after Manson appeared to injure himself in Pittsburgh while performing "The Beautiful People" toward the end of the concert.

Manson and his team needed to immediately cancel the said show. That was followed by an announcement that the gig was canceled "due to injury". Manson hopes to return to the stage soon.

A statement from Manson's rep indicates he was treated at a NY hospital and plans to recover at his Los Angeles home. A total of 9 shows will reportedly be rescheduled at a later date, although no information about when and where have been released.

The incident occurred roughly an hour into Manson's concert, the third date on the North American leg of Manson's Heaven Upside Down tour.
