Conor McGregor Wants A Piece Of Paulie Malignaggi

Conor Mc Gregor Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather, who recently purchased a £19m mansion in Beverly Hills, is no stranger to the clubs and venues of Los Angeles and Vegas, enjoying nights out in the days prior to his bout with McGregor.

Many are expecting him to make a very quick return to action but this time in the more familiar octagon. I have in my head that it would be a Paddy's Day card in New York, Nate Diaz 3. McGregor said a fight with Georges St-Pierre would be a money fight, but the issue is he thinks Michael Bisping will beat GSP first.

There were fears that a fight with Diaz would create a further backlog in the lightweight division - with Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee competing for the interim title next week - but McGregor has eased those concerns with his latest comments that he wishes to defend his belt first and foremost.

"He was saying this and that, and I was thinking, 'What are you doing, you have to come back here and spar Conor in seven days?" I'm ready to get back to the UFC.

McGregor sparred with Malignaggi in his preparation for Mayweather. Diaz isn't someone that always plays nice with the UFC, so it will be interesting if the organization even gives him a fight against McGregor.

"When Conor wanted a boxing license they could look at the Diaz Two fight where there was more or less 25 minutes of boxing".

Referee Robert Byrd called a halt to proceedings shortly after the start of the tenth round, an act which saw Mayweather register his 50th professional victory.

"That's what he said before the fight".

"That's what he said before the fight". No surprises that the the king of boxing came out on top.

That being said, he accepts that he was beaten fair and square in the boxing ring, but he does apparently hold a few regrets about not being able to display the full extent of his fighting skills in the ring.

"Too many of them [lightweights] pull out right at the wire and we're still not at this fight yet, so I'm just going to pray that this one goes ahead". That was the part for me that I had to get over the most.

At times, news concerning Malignaggi and McGregor would attract more attention than the fight itself and for a solid one-week period following the release of some divisive sparring footage featuring the pair, it was easily the most-covered topic on the minds of the combat sporting world.

"I lie him on my legs". I'll sit back and wait and I'll fight.

Have we got a treat for you! .
