What Channel Is the 2017 Emmys On?

300 Drones Light Up Night Sky Over Downtown LA

The 69th annual edition of the Emmy Awards begin at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 17. It's not quite like Christmas morning, because there won't be any snow on the ground and there will be no presents for me, but it is so fun to see the actors and actresses who play our favorite characters on the small screen all gathered together under one roof for this awards show. The event will be hosted by Stephen Colbert.

The other top Emmy 2017 nominees reflect the scope of our "peak TV" era.

Unfortunately, CBS is not offering a red carpet pre-show via their live stream.

Watch your favorite shows on fuboTV: Watch over 67 live sports and entertainment channels with a 7-day FREE trial! Eastern time. Where can you live stream some of the carpet coverage? Eastern, but starting at 6:00 is when the red carpet itself really gets going. With Stephen Colbert set to host this year on CBS, we certainly do feel as though this is going to be one of the more topical versions of the Emmys that we've seen over the years - It will be amusing, biting, and may inspire the President to tweet out angry things in the morning. Even though the show has drawn in plenty of wins over the last six years, it was disqualified this time around due to the late start of their newest season.

Saturday Night Live is also set up for a big night with 22 nominations.

Also in the hunt for prizes are "Stranger Things", and streaming hit from Netflix, and NBC's "This Is Us", the heart-tugging family drama that is the first broadcast network show in the best drama race since CBS' "The Good Wife", back in 2011.
