Trump tweets tough talk after London explosion

Theresa May

In a tweet, the U.S. president said the perpetrators were "in the sights" of Scotland Yard and called for a "proactive" response.

A blast went off on a train in Parsons Green station in west London on Friday morning, that the British police later confirmed was a "terrorist incident".

It's not the first time Trump has used a terrorist attack to promote the ban.

"We have made more progress in the last nine months against the ISIS than the Obama administration has made in eight years".

But according to Bloomberg, the British prime minister expressed her displeasure with Trump's remarks directly to the president himself.

He then added: "Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner", without giving details of what that meant.

That call actually came during the same event where he launched his plans for a "complete shutdown" on Muslims entering the United States, the policy that later became the travel ban.

Mr Trump also suggested cutting off internet capabilities, which he said were a main recruitment tool for terrorists.

And while his timeline will be immortalised by watchful Twitter users, one man has made a decision to take what some call Trump's flip-flopping to the next level. Yet, the London Metropolitan Police released a statement stating that any of the speculation at this time, is not helpful.

Trump's tweets implied that the British police could have done more to prevent the attack and that United Kingdom authorities had been monitoring those responsible for setting off explosives in the tube station.

Washington, Sep 16 (IANS) US President Donald Trump pledged close collaboration with Britain, hours after his tweet on the latest London attack drew pushback from the Britain's Prime Minister Theresa May. The other issue is that the White House is full of enablers, including chief of staff John Kelly, who simply won't stand up to Trump, take his phone away, and tell him to stop tweeting. "We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!" he wrote on June 3. The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments on October 10 on the legality of the bans on travelers from six mostly Muslim countries and refugees anywhere in the world.

National security adviser H.R. McMaster got elected to mop up Trump's mess, telling reporters this afternoon POTUS had been speaking broadly about Scotland Yard.
