Pakistan aiming to seal T20I series against World XI

World XI players do a lap of honour of the Gaddafi Stadium before the start of the first T20I in Lahore on September 12

Pakistani team won the first of this three match series.

After the Sarfraz Ahmed-led Pakistan won the first Twenty20 worldwide (T20I) match by 20 runs on Tuesday, the World XI came back strong to comfortably grab the second game by seven wickets on Wednesday.

He added that the holding of the event in a peaceful and congenial environment has paved the way for worldwide cricket in Pakistan.

Ten Sports, and PTV Sport in Pakistan, Prime TV in the UK, Gazi TV in Bangladesh, DSport in India, Willow TV in the USA, Dialog in Sri Lanka, and SuperSport in Africa are the official TV channels which all will telecast the Pakistan vs World XI 3rd T20 Live streaming on Television.

"This has been a huge success", said du Plessis.

Thisara Perera and David Miller both scored 32 runs each to reduce the margin of defeat.

World XI captain Faf du Plessis and Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed. Ben Cutting was the next victim of Ahmed Shehzad's onslaught as the in-form batsman slammed three consecutive sixes in the 18th over.

Shehzad fell 11 short of his second Twenty20 hundred as he attempted a single off a wide ball. The two added 102 runs for the second wicket after Pakistan lost Fakhar Zaman for 27.

His and Pakistan's only hundred in a Twenty20 global had come against Bangladesh during the World Twenty20 tournament in 2014.

Amla hit five fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 72 off 55 balls, but it was Perera's explosive knock which included four sixes that got World XI to the target of 175-3 in 19.5 overs.

Afridi was the first to have a round of the stadium and while passing through different enclosures a diehard crowd gave him standing ovation. It was clear in May 2015, when ICC refused to send any umpires for the series played by Zimbabwe in Lahore.

If all goes well with the current series, the Pakistan Cricket Board will host a three-match T20 home series against West Indies and one T20 against Sri Lanka.

In his message of felicitation, the chief minister said that the players of Pakistan XI have won the Independence Cup by playing marvellously, while according the opportunity of happiness to the people.
