College Football Players From Netflix Series 'Last Chance U' Arrested for Murder

Former IU football player charged in Tennessee teen’s murder Camion Patrick

Isaiah Wright, one of the stars of season one of the Netflix series "Last Chance U" has been arrested in connection with a Tennessee murder.

Camion Patrick, 22, was arrested Wednesday by police in Bloomington and his 20-year-old brother Isaiah Wright was arrested Wednesday in Tennessee.

He also battled head injuries and appeared to play through concussions while at East Mississippi Community College, known as a last-chance school for players who fail out of or are kicked off big-time college teams.

Patrick, a one-time University of Tennessee recruit, played wide receiver and running back while at IN, but received a medical hardship waiver IN July, which ended his college football career but allowed him to remain on scholarship while finishing school, ESPN reports. Radford was found on the street in a residential neighborhood with multiple stab wounds.

East Mississippi Community College - the school dubbed Last Chance U - has turned around the troubled lives of many athletes, sending them to the National Football League or Division I programs. The waiver allowed Patrick, who suffered both knee and shoulder injuries at IU, to remain on scholarship. Patrick was arrested in Bloomington, Indiana by IU campus police and will be extradited to Blount County soon, while his younger brother Wright was taken into custody in nearby Harriman.

Alcoa Police stated that they charged the other two suspects, 21-year-old Keshawn Hopewell and 28-year-old Itig Green in August. He received a medical hardship from the NCAA after tearing his ACL, ending his collegiate football career. ESPN reports there is not yet any information on hearing dates. The school suspended him Wednesday following his arrest.

Netflix announced the series would not return to EMCC following the second season of filming.
