Gurgaon: Boy, 7, found brutally murdered in school toilet

A knife was also found beside the body. Reports say the boy was studying in Class II at a popular school on the Sohna road in Gurugram in Haryana. The team also examined CCTV footage from over 30 cameras installed on the school premises, .

Those detained for questioning included Class IV staff like sweeper, gardner, bus driver and conductor, the police said.

"As soon as the boy entered the toilet, Kumar held him. But the boy resisted his attempts with full force and when the accused failed to sodomise him, he slit his throat and right ear", the senior cop said. He had gone to use the toilet where he saw the boy. All 10 are being questioned in connection with the incident, officials said.

Hundreds of parents and locals had gathered outside the school and protested against the school management. The school has an eco- friendly environment with a huge infrastructure that is being upgraded further, spread over a sprawling lush green area of more than 12 acres, facing the Aravalis.

"We informed the police and parents immediately".

The school fraternity found him around 9.15 am.

Varun Thakur, father of victim, said "It is a clear case of murder, don't know what happened but I am sure its murder". They did not take care of my son. "They said my son had fallen down and was being taken to Shanti Gopal Hospital", his mother, Swati Sehgal, said. "We will ensure the culprit is arrested at the earliest and school will support the police by all means", Neerja Batra, the officiating school principal, said.

"The child was in a pool of blood". He was rushed to a private hospital but he was declared brought dead.

"We have already directed DCP and SHO to lodge an FIR against the school for their negligence", he said.

Six-year-old Devansh Kakrora died after he allegedly fell into a water tank.

This is not the first such incident at Ryan International School.
