Mitch Trubisky again outplays Mike Glennon

Chicago Bears running back Ka'Deem Carey (25) is tackled by Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche during the first half of a preseason NFL football game, Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, in Glendale, Ariz. Both organization will play their starters longer than the preseason opener last week, but this is still the dress rehearsal, so we should expect to see them both conclude the contest with the backups.

Mitchell Trubisky may have been the Chicago Bears' most exciting player on the field in their first preseason game, but that hasn't impacted where he's at on their depth chart. It will be their last opportunity to get things worked out. Aside from the interception thrown to Tyrann Mathieu in the first quarter, Glennon had a solid day.

Against the Broncos last week, Trubisky was featured in several passing plays on roll outs to the right.

In preseason game No. 2 on the road against the Cardinals, Trubisky impressed yet again. Rookie Mitch Trubisky came on late in the third quarter. He found running back Benny Cunningham on a 6-yard TD pass early in the fourth for a 24-14 lead. The key for Trubisky?

If Trubisky looks as good playing with the ones as he has looked playing with the threes, then he deserves to be the Bears' starting quarterback when the regular season starts.

The Chicago Bears have themselves a potential game-changing gem in rookie Tarik Cohen. The next play, he completed his first pass 7 yards to Tanner Gentry. Remember when Auburn beat Alabama in 2013? Roberto Aguayo missed his only field goal attempt. Versatility is a must.
