Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd to Inherit Nearly $7 Million

Carrie Fisher's Daughter Billie Lourd to Inherit Nearly $7 Million

The petitioner, Dennis King, filed the documents Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court along with a copy of the actress' will, which asks that the residue of the estate be made part of the Carrie Fisher Living Trust.

The "Scream Queens" actress will receive $6.8 million in personal property from the "Star Wars" actress' estate, court documents obtained by the screen legend's executor and obtained by People magazine showed.

Billie Lourd will also have the final say when it comes to the usage of her mother's likeness and public image.

It's also possible that Fisher, who starred as Princess Leia in the wildly successful Star Wars franchise, has additional funds in trusts that would not necessarily be included in this probate filing. It is believed that the 25-year-old actress could also acquire all proceeds from Carrie Fisher's memorabilia set that is scheduled to be auctioned in September.

These include several bank accounts, a vehicle, full ownership of several Limited Liability Companies (LLC) and a life insurance policy.

Debbie Reynolds, Carrie Fisher's mother, died on December 28, 2016, just one day after her daughter's passing. It has been heard that the actress has some possibility of inheriting more than the amount of property disclosed. When Debbie died the next day, I could just picture her saying, 'Well, she's upstaging me once again, of course - she had to.'"Billie Lourd opens up about life after her mother and grandmother's death". The cause of death on her death certificate is cardiac arrest. "I love being my mother's daughter, and it's something I always will be, but now I get to be just Billie".

However, Billie feels there is "a lot of pressure" on her to continue Carrie's "incredible legacy".
