Missing Boy's Father Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

Missing Boy's Father Arrested on Suspicion of Murder

The boy's mother said her estranged husband failed to drop off the child at a pre-arranged spot.

The father was found unconscious in a South Pasadena park on April 22, the day he was supposed to return Aramazd to his ex-wife in San Marino.

In addition to trying to locate Aramazd, police are still trying to determine why the boy's father was passed out in the park. Officers discovered the vehicle had been impounded that same morning in South Pasadena. Sheriff's officials said he took prescription pills and was found in a auto doused in gasoline.

Mendonza said Andressian Sr. and his son, Aramazd Andressian Jr., were last seen leaving Disneyland in Anaheim at about 1 in the morning on April 21, the day before the boy went missing.

Lacey said while investigators have not yet found the body of the boy, Aramazd Andressian Jr., she believed there was enough circumstantial evidence to prosecute the father. Early on, he was initially arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, but he was later released.

At this point, authorities aren't saying much about what led to Andressian's arrest.

The police have not revealed the evidence against the boy's father.

Authorities did not say Friday whether Andressian Jr.'s remains had been discovered. The disappearance had prompted a month-long search across Southern California. The arrest comes after an extensive search for the boy.

Surveillance footage showed Andressian at the lake, police said, but they could not verify if the boy had been there.

"I was at the park with my son, and then I found myself waking up in Huntington Memorial Hospital hours later." the statement said. I can only speculate that I must have been attacked in the park, given my unresponsive state and subsequent physical condition. Aramazd's mother is distraught, and has appealed to the public to come forward with any information they might have on her missing son. Rather than speaking through a lawyer, she spoke directly to the public.

Aramazd Andressian has reportedly not been co-operating with the police.

"To my son, this message is for you my love: Be fearless, honey".

"Piqui was everything great in my life and I can not imagine the emptiness and void that I will bear until we are together again some day", she said. He says I never would do such things like that to my child.

The father of a 5-year-old Pasadena boy missing since April was arrested on suspicion of murder, Los Angeles Times reported. According to his mother and other family members, they simply don't believe that the 5-year-old is dead. She expressed great sorrow at the conclusion that her son is nearly certainly dead.

"I will continue to believe my son is alive until (he is) found."

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will discuss more details about the case at a press conference on Monday, June 26, 2017, at 11 a.m., at the Hall of Justice.
