Federer and Nadal primed for dream Wimbledon final reprise

Venus Williams won the last of her five Wimbledon titles in 2008

Should Federer win at Halle, he will enter Wimbledon as the third seed.

But for those who believe in omens, Nadal, then all pirate swagger with his long shorts, long hair and sleeveless shirts, won the 2008 Wimbledon title after annexing the French Open without dropping a set - a feat he repeated earlier in June.

'Well, Roger is playing great.

"I think the second part of the season will be really crucial for Andy, and Novak as well".

"I was doubting myself a little bit, I must admit, because losing (in the opening) round for the first time in 15 years on grass was always going to shake me a little bit and it did", Federer told the ATP men's tour website.

'But, you know, anything can happen in tennis.

Jamie took the Wimbledon mixed doubles title alongside Jelena Jankovic in 2007 and won the Australian Open and US Open with his current partner, Bruno Soares, past year as he reached top spot in the rankings.

Regarding his own chances, Lopez believes his preparation at Queen's will stand him in good stead for a decent run at the All England Club. It's great to see 35-year-olds competing against everybody younger and it's one of the great stories of the year.

He lost in the first round in Stuttgart against veteran Tommy Haas, but has made it to the semi-finals of the Halle Open as he continues preparing for the Wimbledon Championships starting on 3 July.

'So that was my best year on grass - well not my best year because I reached the quarters at Wimbledon a few times.

I'm looking forward to Wimbledon, but still keeping my feet on the ground and working day by day and just focusing on my game to keep it steady and keep it consistent.
