Democratic lawmaker criticizes party brand, Pelosi

Trump tweeted Thursday morning as some Democrats call for their House minority leader's ouster after Tuesday's special election loss in Georgia.

Despite spending tons of cash in the Georgia special election, Democrats still lost, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy told CNBC on Wednesday. They must pick up 24 seats to do so. But he said it should send a strong signal to Democrats thinking about taking back the White House. Representative Karen Handel said she hopes to reach out to her opponent's supporters in an effort to unify the 6th Congressional District.

But Pelosi taunted Rice and others urging her to step down, issuing what sounded like a warning on Thursday, saying, "when it comes to personal ambition and having fun on TV, have your fun. That would be very bad for the Republican Party - and please let Cryin' (Senate Minority Leader) Chuck (Schumer) stay!"

Trump was quick to celebrate the Georgia win and accused Democrats of standing in the way of a legislative agenda bogged down by infighting and investigations into whether Trump's campaign colluded with Russian Federation in last year's presidential election.
