Bill Cosby's Accusers Have Not Lost Hope Despite Mistrial

Bill Cosby speaks with members of the media as he departs from the Montgomery County Courthouse during his sexual assault trial in Norristown Pa. Friday

The jury in the sexual assault trial of comedian Bill Cosby remained deadlocked after four days of deliberations, and will resume its discussions on Friday morning.

'She's entitled to a verdict in this case, ' Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said at a news conference.

But, the "Girls" actress, best known for her popular Lenny Letter, was not alone in her sentiments.

Both prosecution and the defense will likely take a hard look at how the case was presented.

Prosecutors plan to retry the comedian on sexual assault charges.

For the last two weeks, the plaza outside the courthouse in this economically challenged county seat has been the staging area for media organizations from around the nation and Canada, and more than 100 journalists have been covering the trial and scores of members of the public, including some of the women who have accused Cosby of assaulting them, have attended.

Ultimately, she said, "The jury wants information that supports their position". They attacked the judge, in a letter from Cosby's wife Camille, as "arrogant" and Steele as "heinous" and "ambitious".

"She has shown such courage through this, and we are in awe of what she has done", District Attorney Kevin Steele said. 'How do I describe the judge?

Cosby has denied all of the women's claims, saying that any sexual encounters were consensual.

Victoria Valentino, a former Playboy model who has accused Cosby of drugging and raping her decades ago, had a message for him.

He still faces several civil lawsuits from at least 10 accusers across the US.

"She's a very spiritual woman, she believes things happen for a goal, and I think the objective is.it should encourage other women to come forward and have their day in court", said her lawyer, Dolores Troiani.

McMonagle said it was up to Cosby whether he would represent him in court again. He became an in-demand product endorser, appearing in commercials for Jell-O, Coca-Cola and Ford. He drove Constand to her interview with suburban Philadelphia police in January 2005 and testified that he advised her and her mother to record any conversations with Cosby.

He co-starred in the 1960s espionage show "I Spy", the first black performer to star in a weekly American TV dramatic series.

Gianna Constand, left and her daughter Andrea Constand walk from.

Cosby chose not to testify at the trial. It's not unusual for them to have questions about evidence so they can use it to bolster their opinions, like the phone call between Constand's mother and the comedian, which seemed to be a major focus during deliberations in the past few days.

The portion of Constand's seven hours of trial testimony during which she talked about the night she says Cosby drugged and sexually violated her.

An eighth woman withdrew her lawsuit and a federal judge dismissed a ninth accuser's case, finding her complaint inadequate.

While Constand waited for jurors to come to their decision on Thursday, she passed time shooting mini-basketballs in a hallway at the Mongomery County Courthouse in Norristown, and she tweeted a 25-second, slow-motion video of her shooting a ball through a hoop attached to a cart. Cosby was charged shortly before the statute of limitations was set to expire.
