At least seven people are were injured during a shooting in Myrtle Beach that was streamed live on Facebook.

Myrtle Beach police said in a statement that, just after midnight Sunday, a fight broke out on Ocean Boulevard, a major thoroughfare in the seaside SC city.

In the midst of the madness, people were punching and kicking one another - and then a man in a white shirt suddenly pulled out a gun on the crowded street and began firing.

A security officer with a gun witnessed the incident and shot at the suspect, who then fled the scene with a carjacked vehicle. The suspect's identity has not been released. He received medical attention on the scene.

The police said they had the Facebook Live video of the shooting and considered it a piece of evidence.

Hinson said one of his most popular past Facebook live moments was when he documented Hurricane Matthew from his truck. Officers continue to collect and analyze evidence and urge anyone who may have information regarding any of the incidents to call Myrtle Beach Police at 843-918-1382.

His friend's auto was riddled with bullet holes and smeared with blood.

The two other shootings in Myrtle Beach occurred on Saturday afternoon.

Officers were called to the resort at 5200 N. Ocean Blvd.at 9:05 p.m. for a report of gunshots.

"You would think with all of these cameras everywhere they wouldn't do it, but still people don't care", Plair said.

Crosby said Monday the shooter remained hospitalized and would not be served with any arrest warrants until being medically cleared.

This is Reyes' first time in Myrtle Beach, and he and his family were staying close to where the incident happened.
