Mark Wahlberg leads red carpet for Transformers: The Last Knight premiere

Mark Wahlberg vs Cogman in Transformers The Last Knight Clip

Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters this Tuesday night.

Earlier this year, Michael Bay indicated that Transformers: The Last Knight would be his farewell to the franchise based on the Hasbro toy sensation.

"We've talked about [it]", Bay said about working with Cruise.

Of course, people need to remember that Bay said this exact same thing after the third (Dark of the Moon) and fourth (Age of Extinction) films in the Transformers franchise, but he returned anyway.

Paramount Pictures doesn't seem to be anxious about the departure of both Michael Bay and Mark Wahlberg from "Transformers: The Last Knight".

"I took a picture of the marquee behind me to see if I could get brownie points for being a husband who'd sit through a movie like that".

"In cinema, I'm always trying to push the boundaries", he says, in the 2-minute video, "and it's really to give you the very best experience". This isn't the first time Bay has attempted to leave the Transformers franchise, only to be pulled back in. I'm going out with a bang on this one, and I feel like you gotta go out while you're ahead, you know.

Mark Wahlberg has confirmed that he is leaving the Transformers franchise after the upcoming fifth film, The Last Knight.

On a lighter note, Wahlberg also showed his body's strength, revealing how he got in shape for the movie in just three weeks, right after wrapping "Patriots Day". "Us dealing with each other, it makes for a lot of great humor, and then I was kind of sent on this mission... to help save the world, bring the Transformers back together".

Summary: Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. Other transformers appearing the film include Bumblebee, Drift, Hot Rod, Cogman, Canopy, Sqweeks, Grimlock, Megatron, Barricade, Onslaught, Hooligan, and Mohawk. Bay is set to be the producer for Bumblebee (spin-off) and a possible seventh Transformers movie, but only time will tell.
