Saye, who lived on the 20th floor in the tower complex, was friends with Labour MP for Tottenham David Lammy. "She was panicking. She said there was a fire".

Jessica Urbano sounded panicked as she called her mother in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

"She would have been in her bed clothes and she will be very, very, very scared. We're just desperate to find her". "Khadija had the most handsome, soulful spirit, she was so deeply connected to her mother and her own spirituality", said Green, who started mentoring Saye after falling in love with her work while judging the Discerning Eye competition.

The couple's two other daughters, aged six and seven, were eventually found in hospital.

Mo Tuccu, an Eritrean working as a security guard for London PR agency Red Consultancy, is missing together with his wife, Amalahmedin and their three-year-old daughter. They are believed to be Marco Gottardi and his girlfriend, Gloria Trevisan, based on information from Gottardi's cousin.

The Italian Foreign Ministry said two Italians are missing.

Reports have began to emerged that five-year-old Isaac Shawo is among those confirmed dead.

Mariem Elgwahry, 27, lived on the 19th floor of Grenfell Tower, where she is reported to have lived with mother Suhar. A further 28 people are thought to be missing, and are presumed dead. "It was a completely different world to the one she was part of - she was living at the top of Grenfell Tower and the school was full of privileged people who sometimes seemed to her to have no understanding of that privilege".

Her friend Nicola Green said: "She was on Facebook saying she was unable to get out of the flat, that the smoke was so thick".

She has not been contactable since. "It's an absolute tragedy - this was such a confident first body of work, but there was so much more to come. My heart goes out to all the people at Grenfell tower".

"A number of residents of Grenfell Tower are very concerned at the fact that the new improvement works to Grenfell Tower have turned our building into a fire trap", the Grenfell Action Group wrote in an August 2014 email to the London Fire Brigade, which the group subsequently posted on its blog.

Some victims of the inferno may never be identified, the Met's commander Stuart Cundy said.

"A lot of people managed to get outside themselves and 65 were rescued", he said. "I'm so proud of all she achieved and was going to achieve".
