Ariana Grande's Manchester Benefit Will Be Immortalized in Pop History

Ariana Grande's Manchester benefit concert to go on despite London terror attack

Following May 22's suicide bombing that took the lives of twenty-two innocent concertgoers, Ariana Grande posted a heartfelt apology to her fans on Twitter.

Almost two weeks ago, the Manchester Arena became the site of a deadly terrorist bombing that killed 22 people and injured at least 59 others.

Kiwi icon Neil Finn has shown his appreciation for one of his hits being performed at One Love Manchester.

When Grande returned to Britain last Friday, she did make up for lost time by visiting a hospital to comfort fans warded for injuries. Stars like Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and the Black Eyed Peas all participated to help raise money. Niall Horan played an emotional rendition of his new single "This Town", and Liam Gallagher also performed at the gig, where Grande herself sang the Oasis classic "Don't Look Back In Anger". Including proceeds from the 50,000 fans who showed up to the event, the Manchester Evening News adds that this puts the final number at more than £10 million, or nearly $13 million in United States dollars, which will all go towards the We Love Manchester fund.

Piers had a change of heart after seeing the "One Last Time" singer host the One Love Manchester concert last night at the Emirates stadium.

"She began touring again quite soon after the attacks and she really did a lot of things for Manchester". We won't let this divide us.

Sunday's concert occurred one day after a second terror attack in England, an incident in London that killed seven people and injured at least 48 others.

Concert-goers in Manchester showed the city's spirit by defiantly belting out "Don't Look Back In Anger" on the tram ride home from the One Love concert.
