Sony unveils new 'Spider-man' game at E3 expo

PS4's Spider-Man game is touted as the best so far, given that Spidey's powers are at full blast, the NY setup serving as a great background, and Miles a sweet addition.

But for many, ourselves included, Sony may well have stolen the show with the unveiling of a shiny new version of the iconic Shadow of the Colossus, built from the ground up for PS4. Last year, the company had released new hardware and this year, well, it is all about games. The story trailer reveals Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross struggle and adventure to protect an Indian Artefact. Although this game was remastered for Sony's Playstation 3 back in 2011, this time it will be a full HD version. Spider-Man now has a vague 2018 release date, but here's hoping that'll get narrowed down sometime soon. However, PlayStation fans would argue that Sony's lack of new reveals was a bit jarring. The game is now scheduled to release in early 2018. It appears to be an open world game with its stellar gameplay. The game is set to release on 29 December 2017. This game is being developed by Insomniac Games, the group behind popular PlayStation games such as "Resistance" and "Song of the Deep".

Before the firm's main briefing got under way, it announced a new feature for PlayStation owners - PlayLink, which lets friends join gaming experiences via their smartphones.

The event featured several upcoming titles for PlayStation VR as well, including "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim", "Bravo Team", "Final Fantasy 15, "Moss", "Superhot VR" and an adventure game called "Starchild".

The new PS4 game has been created to provide "one of the most artistic, emotional, and celebrated games ever made available for a new audience" its developers explain.
